100% Grenache | 158 cases produced

Half of the fruit is kept whole cluster and put at the bottom of a stainless steel fermenter. The second half is destemmed over the top to create a semi carbonic environment. The wine is then pressed and moved to neutral oak puncheons (500L) for 10-18 months before being bottled unfiltered. 100% native yeast, and the only addition was S02.

Own rooted and dry farmed, these vines are some create intensely concentrated yet delicate wines.

    This wine was built for now, it will continue to develop it’s more secondary elements over the next few years, but the fruit is fresh and full of vigor right now.

The Santa Cruz Mountains

The Santa Cruz Mountains are a special place and this particular site sits about 1500 ft elevation, about 5 miles off the coast, and gets a fair amount of fog. The vines are own-rooted and dry farmed, and all of these factors together yield beautifully complex fruit that we absolutely had to work with.
